Clare Makes...

Candles & a bunch of other stuff too. But just like the name says, I’m Clare, and I make it all. I’m a former beauty blogger turned candle connoisseur who began pouring during lockdown, craving the smell of wild native blooms instead of mass-produced blends.

I’m a perfectionist with a taste for the good stuff, which means every candle, diffuser and spray is made to the highest standard I can deliver. No shortcuts. No filler. Just high-quality home fragrance, handmade here in Newcastle.

Why Australian Natives?

I was married in a garden under a eucalyptus tree, and I’ve been chasing that scent ever since. I want your space to smell grounded, lush, and unmistakably Australian.

I’m not a gardener, but I am a homebody. I’ll happily share scent tips, styling advice, and what’s worth getting your hands on. I’ve got great taste, and I don’t gatekeep.

Clare Makes is here to bring the outdoors in. I know you'll find something you love.
