Clare Makes candles are hand poured in Sydney's inner west.
My scented candles are named after significant Australian figures who inspire each scent. The emphasis on Australian native botanicals evokes memories of beach holidays, bush walks, native gardens and warm evenings spent at home.
Using premium soy wax, fragrant oils and electroplated jars, I make small quantities at a time. This ensures that what you receive is a handmade luxury candle, ready to warm your home from the minute it reaches you.

I was lucky enough to win a gift card and this is the candle I ordered. It was packed immaculately in packing peanuts and the box was slathered with bright red fragile tape. I opened the candle up and of course I immediately started burning it - the scent is pure bliss and leaves you feeling instantly calmed and delighted. Well-balanced tones reminiscent of walking through a floral bushland. My apartment smells so comforting and fresh. Thanks a ton for this beautiful creation Clare x
I ordered this as a last-minute Christmas gift and was lucky enough to find a candle with my friend's name on it, "Jessica".
I was delighted that after ordering this candle in the morning it was delivered to me THAT AFTERNOON! (In Hurlston Park)
Great packaging, very beautiful looking candle container that I understand can be re-used, and most importantly wonderful smelling candle!
Needless to say my friend was delighted.
The Henry candle ticks all the boxes - fresh with just a hint of florals creating the most perfectly blended scent. I loved it straight away, and the candle size is just incredible - plus it has a lid so you can reuse the vessel once it's finished which is awesome.
Lovely candle. Burns cleanly and the scent does not fade. I have almost reached the bottom of this candle and am very pleased with the way it burns. Thank you for a quality product, present beautifully!
Such a beautiful sweet scent but not overpowering. Burns lovely and great quality. Super quick postage too!
Fresh and citrusy but definitely not your average citrus scent. It's complex and layered, bold but not overpowering. I love how well this permeates through the house
I finally burned this candle today when I had guests over. They all remarked on what a lovely scent it was. In a nutshell: fresh, understated, sweet without being overpowering. I loved having it on display -- the chic label and pop of silver in the pot work with any interior. Really happy with the burn as well. Will definitely buy some more for Christmas pressies!
A prefect addition to my desk. A subtle scent with an even burn. Looks beautiful whether it’s lit or not.
Fresh smelling, even burning and so good looking. Everything you could ask for in a candle.
I ordered this candle based on the description and it's so much better than I even imagined. A sexy, slightly earthy sandalwood base with the lighter lemon myrtle are beautiful together. Burns clean, and slow. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
Such a clean and fresh scent with a light citrus note from the lemon myrtle. Candle burns really evenly and lasts a decent amount of time! Looks lovely as well. Definitely recommend.
I love this candle scent so much that I think it will be a new staple for my home. For some reason, It reminds me of a raspberry gin and tonic! These candles burn really lovely and last a long time. They have just the right amount of scent and not too weak or too overpowering.
The candle not only smells amazing and burns evenly but the design of the candle is beautiful!
Quick delivery, impeccable service, beautifully presenting an absolutely magnificent scent. I need more of it, put me on the waitlist for the next batch xx
Every detail has been carefully considered, the packaging, branding and the beautiful scent which smells like an Australian Spring day when the Wattle is in bloom.
