Timber Top Diffuser Care

Timber Top Diffuser Care & Instructions

Timber Top Diffusers are the perfect way to freshen up a living area without the need for flame from a candle or electricity from an electric melt warmer. The diffuser continuously releases a clean, pure fragrance throughout your room.  There is no need to change reeds over, the lid will not drip, and the diffuser can be placed discreetly in most spaces.

Pro tip: Get the most out of your diffuser by combining your timber top diffuser with its matching candle to release a burst of fragrance in your home.

Assembly

Once your diffuser arrives you must insert the rod into the top and tap in to the lid completely using a small hammer or suitable tool.

Once inserted correctly and the lid securely fastened, there should be a small 0.5mm gap between the bottom of the dowel and the bottom of the diffuser bottle.

Failure to do this may result in the cap becoming cross threaded therefore not sealing correctly, as the bamboo rod may catch the bottom of the jar.

If the bamboo dowel is not inserted fully the container may leak, or cause damage to the plastic in the lid or other items, as there is no other seal.

These diffusers will only work if used in conjunction with a Clare Makes diffuser oil.

If you refill your timber top diffuser using a product from another company, I will not and cannot guarantee its safety or use.

Do not tip the diffuser upside down or shake once filled. The wood will not soak the fragrance up faster and it will only cause damage to the product. Always keep the diffuser in an upright position.

Some fragrance oils are not skin and body safe. Using gloves, carefully add your diffuser fragrance, screw the cap and wait. The inner bamboo dowel will absorb the fragrance to the lid and slightly moisten the lid, allowing the fragrance to fill the room.

Due to the lid absorbing the fragrance, it will be come wet, but will not drip.

As with all diffusers these are to be placed on an even surface and not tipped.

Please allow approximately 7-14 days for the fragrance throw to be present as this is how long it will initially take for the fragrance to reach the lid.

Choose a spot for your timber top diffuser that is out of reach of children and pets, in an area where it will not be easily knocked over.

Once the fragrance has reached the lid and it has begun to moisten, do not allow the lid to come into contact with clothing, furniture, bare hands, etc.

Lasting Power

Clare Makes diffusers are all hand mixed and as a guide, a 200ml diffuser will last between 8 to 10 months, depending on the type of room and air conditions it is placed in.

There are several factors that will affect how long your timber top diffuser will last and the amount of fragrance it releases. These include:

  • The size of the room: A single diffuser isn't designed to fill large living spaces with scent. They work best to release a continual stream of fragrance in a small room, but can be used in conjunction with a candle to release a burst of scent in your home.
  • The airflow around your diffuser: If placed close to a fan, air conditioning unit or an open window, the timber top may not fully moisten, may dry out and ultimately may not release as much fragrance.
  • The humidity of the room: A room with a heater or humidity works best. Bathrooms are excellent, as well as warmed office spaces. Using a heater or having moisture in the air will help to keep the timber top diffuser performing optimally.
  • The assembly of the product: Ensure you have followed the directions carefully, and the inner dowel has been inserted correctly with the lid securely fastened. If after 14 days the timber top is not at least 80% wet, there may be an issue with air flow or the assembly of the product.
